One Belt And One Road: Textile And Garment Industry Of China And Uzbekistan Join Hands Again

In recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Uzbekistan has maintained a good momentum of development, the bilateral cooperation mechanism has been improved, the trade scale has been continuously expanded, and the investment cooperation has been steadily promoted. The bilateral economic and trade cooperation has shown great potential. Recently, the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, together with the Uzbekistan Embassy in China and the Uzbekistan textile and garment industry association, jointly hosted the online "China Uzbekistan textile and garment industry cooperation forum", providing new ideas for textile and garment enterprises to explore emerging markets of the "belt and road" and expand yarn import business.

In his speech at the forum, Cao Jiachang, President of China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, said that Uzbekistan is one of China's major yarn import sources. In March this year, the chamber of Commerce and Uzbekistan textile and Garment Industry Association officially signed a cooperation agreement, aiming to help the industries of the two countries deepen mutual trust and understanding and promote cooperation between enterprises. The holding of this forum is not only a practical action to promote bilateral investment cooperation, but also a concrete implementation of the early signed agreements.

At the meeting, Uzbekistan ambassador to China fahod arziev said that he hoped to attract more Chinese funded companies to invest in Uzbekistan with the help of the influence and resources of the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, realize the development goal of establishing a whole industrial chain in the field of textile and clothing, promote the deepening of multi-mode bilateral industrial cooperation and achieve win-win development.

During this period, Lin Hua, vice president of yarn branch of China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and general manager of Xinjiang branch of Shanghai Oriental International Group, analyzed and prospected the current situation and future development of China Uzbekistan yarn trade. Lin Hua introduced that in recent years, under the strategy of "global layout and transnational operation" of Orient International, Xinjiang company and Uzbekistan textile enterprises have achieved fruitful results in cooperation. Last year, Xinjiang company further expanded the scale and influence of medium and high-end Ukrainian yarn, and exported Uzbekistan cotton yarn to Myanmar, Bangladesh and other markets through the re export trade of sea rail intermodal transportation, making Uzbekistan SOA yarn not only enter China's high-end market, but also go to the world. This year, Oriental International Xinjiang company will further deepen cooperation with Uzbekistan textile enterprises and increase procurement volume under the condition of mutual benefit and reciprocity. At the same time, we also hope to establish contact with more excellent textile enterprises in Uzbekistan, jointly create a new "designated SOA cotton yarn processing base" in Uzbekistan, and promote the export of Uzbekistan textiles to China.

At the forum, China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and Uzbekistan textile and garment industry association also signed a memorandum of understanding on textile industry cooperation, further carrying out all-round, multi-level and institutionalized bilateral cooperation.
