1. Silk trade in March

According to the statistics of Brazil's Ministry of foreign trade, the trade volume of silk goods in March was 18.5383 million US dollars, with a month on month increase of 22.55% and a year-on-year decrease of 3.63%. Among them, the import value was 13.8877 million US dollars, with a month on month increase of 16.56% and a year-on-year increase of 8.44%; the export volume was 4.6506 million US dollars, with a month on month increase of 44.79% and a year-on-year decrease of 27.67%. The specific commodity composition is as follows:

Import: the amount of silk was 33800 U.S. dollars, down 81.51% month on month, 91.73% year-on-year. The quantity of silk was 0.61 tons, with a decrease of 74.39% on a month on month basis and a decrease of 84.77% on a year-on-year basis; the amount of silk was US $7.5282 million, with a month on month increase of 21.76% and a year-on-year increase of 25.78%; and the amount of finished products was $6.3256 million, up 13.99% month on month and 1.35% year on year.

Export: the amount of silk was 1.5632 million US dollars, up 17.24% month on month, and 55.39% lower than the same period last year. The quantity of silk was 26.86 tons, with a month on month decrease of 7.93% and a year-on-year decrease of 47.88%; the amount of silk was 2442200 US dollars, with a month on month increase of 65.12% and a year-on-year increase of 2.11%; the amount of finished products was 645200 US dollars, with a month on month increase of 61.48% and a year-on-year increase of 20.81%.

2. Silk commodity trade from January to March

From January to March, Brazil's silk trade volume was 47.8511 million US dollars, down 14.28% year-on-year. Among them, the import value was 36.6 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 11.07%; the export volume was 11.2511 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 23.3%. The details are as follows:

The composition of imported goods was 668800 U.S. dollars of silk, a year-on-year decrease of 33.24%, the quantity of 6.79 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 26.92%; the amount of silk was 18.2772 million, with a year-on-year increase of 0.95%; and the finished products were $17.654 million, a year-on-year decrease of 19.93%.

The main sources of imports were China (US $24.2817 million, down 13.01% year-on-year, accounting for 66.34%), Paraguay (US $2539600, with a year-on-year increase of 116.14%, accounting for 6.94%), Cambodia (US $1311400, a year-on-year decrease of 15.94%, accounting for 3.58%), Vietnam (US $966200, a year-on-year decrease of 11.85%, accounting for 2.64%), Italy (US $916400) 36%, accounting for 2.5%. The total proportion of the above five sources is 82%.

The composition of export commodities was 4.8112 million U.S. dollars of silk, a year-on-year decrease of 36.57%, 83.36 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 42.05%; 5.0265 million silk, a year-on-year decrease of 3.43%; manufactured goods of $1413400, a year-on-year decrease of 24.73%.

The main export markets were France (US $2.4668 million, up 9.77% year-on-year, accounting for 21.93%), Argentina (US $1.665 million, down 30.53% year-on-year, accounting for 14.76%), Paraguay (US $1.459 million, up 17.24% year-on-year, accounting for 12.97%), the United States (US $1.1624 million, with a year-on-year increase of 16.76%, accounting for 10.33%), and India (US $697600, with a year-on-year increase of 2551) 77%, accounting for 6.2%). The above five markets together accounted for 66.19%.
