China'S First Batch Of Self-Developed Ultra-High Shrinkage Acrylic Fiber Output

According to the development trend of international acrylic fiber market, the acrylic fiber plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company officially produced new products of ultra-high shrinkage acrylic staple fiber. This is the first batch of ultra-high shrinkage acrylic fiber products independently developed in China, filling the domestic technical gap.

Shrinkage is the main quality index of high shrinkage products. In general, the shrinkage between 20% and 25% is high shrinkage acrylic fiber, which can be used to produce jacquard fabrics, crepe fabrics, etc.; the shrinkage rate between 25% and 30% can be used to produce blankets, carpets and artificial fur; the shrinkage above 30% is ultra-high shrinkage acrylic fiber, with stronger stereoscopic and bulkiness, which is mainly used for the production of high-end wool textiles.

High shrinkage acrylic fiber is the first "fist" product independently developed by the acrylic fiber plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company. In 1992, it obtained the plaque and certificate of "the most in China" issued by the market economy Research Institute of the development research center of the State Council of China, and has become the main product in the Chinese market.

In the face of the increasingly severe acrylic fiber market, the acrylic fiber plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company studies and judges the development trend of international acrylic fiber market and new products, and is committed to developing marketable high value-added products, increasing the content of science and technology, and forming the core technical advantages. Through in-depth investigation, it is known that the prospect of ultra-high shrinkage acrylic fiber is broad, and China's acrylic fiber enterprises were not able to produce at that time.

In August 2020, the plant set up a project team of ultra-high shrinkage acrylic fiber, and designed many sets of technical schemes to make the shrinkage rate reach more than 30%. Through continuous exploration, breakthroughs have been made in raw material preparation, polymerization reactor reaction, spinning process parameters and process reengineering. The shrinkage rate of ultra-high shrinkage acrylic fiber has reached more than 40%.

At present, the factory is experimenting with other ultra-high shrinkage products to meet different market demands.
