The new seed market was delayed, cotton linter remained firm, orders were warmer, viscose short grid was up, and human cotton yarn was on the rise.

In the first ten days of September, due to the delay of new seed listing, the processing plant mainly purchased old cottonseed, and the cost was still high. In addition, the operating rate decreased and the supply of cotton linter was limited. It was difficult for some downstream chemical fiber factories and cotton mills to start up normally. The shortage of cotton linter procurement restricted the market development. Market supply and demand saw, cotton linter prices to maintain stability. Cotton linter is expected to maintain a stable pattern before a large number of new seeds are put on the market. On the other hand, the recent impact of the United States hurricane, cotton prices rose sharply, new cotton purchase price may rise.

As of September 16, the average ex factory price of 30s cotton yarn in Shandong was 13133 yuan / ton, up 67 yuan / ton or 0.51% compared with the price at the beginning of September, with a year-on-year decrease of 23.75%. Viscose staple fiber strong rise, but people's cotton yarn orders did not keep pace with the pace, most manufacturers hold prices, low prices have a small rise. Manufacturers purchase raw materials on demand, new seeds will be on the market soon, the supply of raw materials is expected to increase, viscose may fall back, and people's cotton yarn manufacturers are cautious in price adjustment.

In terms of output, according to relevant data, in July 2020, China's production of yarn was 2.239 million tons, a decrease of 4.4% on a month on month basis and an 8.8% decrease on a year-on-year basis; 3.29 billion meters of cloth were produced, with a month on month decrease of 1.79% and a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%; and the production of chemical fiber was 5.247 million tons, with a decrease of 4.16% on a month on month basis and a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. According to the latest statistics of the General Administration of Customs of China, in August 2020, China's textile and clothing exports amounted to US $30.924 billion, down 1.18% month on month.

Business agency analysts believe that the recent viscose price is strong, the mainstream offer in 9000-9500 yuan / ton, people cotton yarn wait-and-see atmosphere is strong, bullish cautious. With the abundant supply of raw materials, it is expected that the market quotation center of viscose staple fiber will move down.
