China Cotton Association Xiajin Research: Order Production Oriented, Active Transformation And Upgrading

On May 20~21, the Chinese cotton textile industry association went to investigate and study in Song Lou, Xiajin County, Shandong province. Accompanied by the relevant responsible persons, it visited local cotton textile enterprises to understand the current situation and operation of the enterprises.

Song Lou town is one of the "textile cotton cities in China" - one of the textile industrial clusters in Xiajin County of Shandong Province, with a scale of over 50 spindles and 5000 employees. The product is mainly composed of 40 high pure cotton yarns, and the new products such as blended, semi worsted, Tencel, modal, and bamboo fiber are produced, with an annual output of more than 80 tons of yarn. In recent years, the total output value of textile industry in Song Lou town accounts for more than 60% of the total industrial output value of the local area. It is a pillar industry and an important livelihood industry for the economic development of song Lou.

The enterprises visited were mainly local backbone enterprises. From the operation situation, the enterprises visited were basically full load production, most of them were order production, the orders were the longest in late July, and a small part of production inventory products, yarn stocks were mostly within 1 months. It is understood that, since the outbreak and price fluctuations of raw materials, since the resumption of production, most enterprises maintain capital or loss management. Recently, orders for pure cotton fabric in downstream market have increased slightly, and orders for pure cotton yarn have also increased. The cotton inventory of visiting enterprises is mostly in 1~2 months, partly in 3 months.

From the production cost situation, the average wage of the workers visiting the factory is 3000~4000 yuan per month, and the electricity charge is about 0.5 to 0.6 yuan / degree. The phenomenon of staff age is widespread. Enterprises can reduce employment and ease employment pressure through upgrading equipment. It is suggested that the quality of warehouse cotton can be effectively improved in order to reduce the cost of cotton production.

For the current difficulties, enterprises will strengthen confidence and adhere to production, and believe that the market will rebound after the epidemic. With the support of the relevant policies of the Xiajin county government, enterprises actively promote the upgrading of equipment, realize the transformation of new and old energy, and add intelligent production lines.
