Jiangsu'S First National Mask Standard For Melted Spray Fabrics

In order to standardize the production standards of masks and improve the quality of masks, 23 days, the Jiangsu Textile Industry Association officially released the standard of polypropylene melted blown nonwovens (T/JSFZXH001-2020) for mask. This is the first time that the country has issued the group standard of melted spray cloth for respirators, which is mainly applicable to respirators for sanitary protection. The standard will be formally implemented in April 26th, and will be adopted by the members of the group in accordance with the agreement, and will be adopted voluntarily by the community.

Since the outbreak of the disease, melt blown fabric has been used as the core material of mask production, and the market has been rising all the way. However, due to the lack of understanding of raw materials, equipment and production processes, the filtration efficiency of some melted fabrics produced by some enterprises needs to be improved. In order to strengthen the supervision and control of melt blown fabric market, the provincial market supervision bureau has recently carried out a special enforcement action of melted spray cloth products in the whole province on the basis of having interviewed some of the production enterprises.

At present, there are 2 industry standards for melt blown fabrics in China, but one does not apply to respirators, and the other end uses are not limited to respirators. The standard values of key indicators such as filtration efficiency and air permeability are stipulated by supply and demand contract. To this end, the Jiangsu provincial market supervision bureau, the provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau, the Nanjing product quality supervision and Inspection Institute and the related melt spraying production enterprises jointly drafted the "group of polypropylene melted nonwovens" standard for the purpose of standardizing the production and operation behavior of the melt spraying enterprises and ensuring the quality of the core materials of the masks. The provincial market supervision bureau believes that the effective convergence of product standards and protective mask products standards can play a positive role in regulating a batch, upgrading a batch and improving a number of enterprises from a technical point of view. Next, the provincial market supervision bureau will carry out standards publicity and interpretation, train the main production enterprises and grassroots supervisors in the province, and further guide the production and supervision of melt blown fabrics.
