The purchase price of hand picked cotton in southern Xinjiang is basically stable, and the price of machine picked cotton is rising. Last week, the takeover price of Xinjiang hand picked cotton padded 38%-40% was around 5.54 yuan / kg, up 0.04 yuan from last week, down 0.79 yuan compared with the same period last year. The purchase price of the machine picked cotton 38%-40% is 4.59 yuan / kg, up 0.33 yuan from last week, down 1.17 yuan compared with the same period last year.

The purchase price of cotton seed in the mainland is stable. In January 5th, the purchase price of Hebei seed cotton was 6.00-6.30 yuan / kg (lint 40%), unchanged from last week, down 0.9 yuan compared with the same period last year; the purchase price of Shandong was 6.30-6.40 yuan / kg (lint 40%), which was flat last week, down 0.7 yuan compared with that of last week; the purchase price of Hubei was 5.80-6.20 yuan / kg (37-39%), unchanged from last week, down 0.6 yuan compared with last week.
