At present, nearly half of the Integrated Circuit Design Company in the Zhangjiang hi tech park is integrated from chip design to OEM, packaging and testing, and even materials and equipment. "The company has been established for nearly 15 years. This time is not long for an integrated circuit company. It is an industry that needs to be boiled". Zhang Pengfei said that developing a chip may take one to two years, and then mass production and promotion to the market.

The development of Broadcom has always been clear. It is committed to building a wireless chip platform. The research and development direction focuses on smart home, intelligent transportation and other IOT fields. At present, the company has accumulated hundreds of products, covering dozens of different wireless transmission protocols, such as the latest national standard ETC chip, WiFi chip applied to the Internet of things, Bluetooth chip (including Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth data transmission), and GPS chip.

Zhang Pengfei said that the company has accumulated a lot of technology and products in smart home. At the same time, it has established extensive cooperation with Internet Co and home appliances companies at home and abroad. Intelligent transportation has also made great progress, especially the rise of ETC industry this year. The company has undertaken heavy industry promotion and GB chip supply tasks. At present, these two areas are growing rapidly, and the integration of Broadcom is also on the policy "Dongfeng". For ETC, the company did not know this opportunity before the policy was introduced in May this year. All the functions needed by the ETC device include chip support, including microwave transceiver, ultra-low power consumption MCU, non-contact card reader, ESAM's business secret and national encryption chip. At the same time, the company has fully integrated OBU system SOC chip, which can further enhance the reliability of the related ETC devices, and provide more convenience for the production of ETC equipment.

In addition to the stock vehicle afterloading market, the company is still pressing ahead with the layout of the ETC front assembly. The quality and reliability of the products have initially met the vehicle regulatory requirements and entered the system certification and testing stage.
