Garment industry is an important industry related to people's livelihood. Clothing consumption occupies a large share of consumption in China. According to the National Bureau of statistics, in 2018, the per capita consumption of clothing and clothing in China increased by 1289 yuan, an increase of 4.1%, accounting for 6.5% of the per capita consumption of residents. This paper analyzes the current situation of China's garment industry in the past 2018-2019 years, and analyzes the market structure of the industry.

According to the National Bureau of statistics, in 2018, the per capita consumption of clothing and clothing in China increased by 1289 yuan, an increase of 4.1%, accounting for 6.5% of the per capita consumption of the residents. The consumption of clothing for urban residents was 1808 yuan, an increase of 2.9% over the same period last year. The consumption of clothing for rural residents was 648 yuan, an increase of 5.9% over the same period last year.
Two, the growth rate of garment retail sales is decreasing year by year.
According to the National Bureau of statistics, the retail sales volume of clothing commodities has increased year by year in the past 2011-2017 years, but the growth rate has slowed down year by year. In 2017, the total retail sales of clothing products reached 1 trillion and 36 billion 540 million yuan, up 1.4% over the same period last year. In 2018, the total retail sales of clothing products in China were 987 billion 40 million yuan, down 4.8% compared with the same period last year, and the retail sales volume of clothing products for the first time showed negative growth. As of the first half of 2019, clothing retail sales amounted to 474 billion 970 million yuan.
Three, women's clothing occupies the main market of clothing consumption.
Clothing sales, women's clothing is the most important plate, in 2018, China's sales of women's clothing accounted for 48.1% of the total; followed by men's wear plate, sales accounted for 27.6%; sportswear sales accounted for 12.7%; children's clothing sales accounted for 10%.
Four, 2019, the size of the clothing business market is expected to break trillions.
"Internet +" makes it easier for residents to buy clothes, and can browse hundreds of thousands of brand products without leaving home. At present, the field of clothing business in China is still developing rapidly. In 2018, the scale of clothing e-commerce market reached 820 billion 540 million yuan, an increase of 22% over the same period, and it is expected to exceed one trillion yuan in 2019.
Five, Adidas and Nike share the first market share.
At present, the concentration ratio of China's clothing industry is relatively low. In 2018, the total market share of the top ten enterprises in the apparel industry market share was only 9.6%, of which Adidas and Nike ranked first in the market share of 1.9%, followed by Hai Lan's home, with a market share of 1.1%. In the domestic clothing brand, Anta has the highest market value, with an average market value of 90 billion 430 million yuan in 2018, followed by Hai Lan's home.
