China And Cambodia Strengthen Cooperation In Textile Industry

The first Council of the Kampuchea Textile Association of China and the inauguration ceremony of the Second Council of the Textile Association of Kampuchea chamber of Commerce in China were held in Phnom Penh, Kampuchea. Chinese funded enterprises have provided a large number of jobs for Kampuchea, trained a large number of skilled workers and management personnel, and played an important role in improving the social and economic development of Kampuchea and improving and improving the living standards of Kampuchea people.

The Minister of industry and handicrafts in Kampuchea, said Pu Laxi, the textile and garment industry plays a very important role in the economic development of Kampuchea, not only creating the largest share of exports for Kampuchea, but also creating a large number of employment opportunities. He hoped that the association could attract more related industries to invest in Cambodia, and the government of Kampuchea would provide more convenience and support.

He Enjia, President of the textile association, said that Chinese enterprises accounted for more than 70% of all textile enterprises in Kampuchea, accounting for 52.5% of the total exports and directly created nearly 500 thousand jobs. Since its establishment, the association has worked with a number of government departments in Kampuchea to jointly formulate industry standards and development plans, continuously improve the business environment, and actively promote the investment environment of Kampuchea and carry out school enterprise cooperation with domestic enterprises.
