BASF'S Innovative Solution Opens New Opportunities For The Textile Industry
On the 25 day at the China international textile fabrics and accessories (Qiu Dong) fair, which is being held in Shanghai, BASF takes the theme of "chemistry leading the new fashion", presenting a series of solutions including chemical fiber raw materials, cowboy enzyme washing AIDS and 3D printing accessories.
BASF also launched the brand new PolyTHF Inside in its new trend forum on denim industry development.
Dr BASF, vice president of BASF global and vice president of the Greater China intermediate business division, said: "we are very pleased to launch the PolyTHF Inside brand at this Expo. The brand is not only the guarantee of quality, but also the embodiment of BASF's innovation and close to customers. It is worth mentioning that the Hangzhou spandex spandex Co., Ltd., a high-tech spandex manufacturer, has used PolyTHF Inside brand to produce denim special spandex fibers.
PolyTHF is the main raw material for spandex production. BASF is one of the world's leading PolyTHF producers. In the past 30 years, it has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise. The PolyTHF Inside textile is soft, durable and comfortable. Because spandex is elastic, it has become a popular textile material nowadays. It is widely used in sportswear, underwear, coats and swimsuits.
Duan Xiaoping, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation and President of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, said: "China's chemical fiber industry is undergoing rapid transformation and upgrading. However, the domestic varieties of spandex products are relatively single, and the ability of innovation and development needs to be improved. Especially for the denim industry, spandex fibers often lose elasticity after multi-channel treatment. Therefore, in the development of spandex industry, the innovation of raw materials and manufacturing technology is very important.
The Expo also showed a series of BASF based innovative solutions such as bio based BDO.
Data show that in 2018, BASF's global sales amounted to about 63 billion euros, of which BASF's sales to greater China customers exceeded 7 billion 300 million euros.
