    Amazon Leads The World Retail Brand Value List, Ali Rose To Tenth, Jingdong Dropped To Thirteen

    Brand Finance recently released the list of global retailers' brand value in 2018. Amazon ranked first on the list of $187 billion 910 million, two times that of WAL-MART, which ranked second.

    The top ten retail brands are home depot, Lloyds, IKEA, CVS Caremark, Costco, Target, Walgreens and Alibaba.




    The list is calculated by Brand Finance's Royalty Relief algorithm, including brand strength, brand patent tax rate, income and value.




    Interestingly, although Amazon has increased by 24.6% compared with its brand value in 2017 ($150 billion 810 million), it is not the fastest growing brand.

    Home Depot grew by 39.4%, and Lloyd's grew by 49.4%, from seventh in 2017 to fourth.

    Alibaba, which ranked thirteenth in 2017, rose to tenth, with a growth rate of 51.1%.

    Jingdong, which ranked fifth in 2017, dropped to eleventh this year, down 42%, and its brand value is now $11 billion 390 million.

    Target, which ranked ninth in 2017, ranked eighth this year, an increase of 20.5%, with a brand value of $16 billion 480 million.




    Other Top50 retailers include: T.J.Maxx, 22, 7 billion 170 million US dollars; Ross Dress for Less, 23, 6 billion 840 million US dollars; Sainsbury's, 27, 5 billion 840 million US dollars; El Corte Ingl e s, 28, 5 billion 700 million dollars; Corte, 30, 5 billion 560 million U. S. dollars;




    The list on the list comes from different areas, such as clothing, home, grocery and business.




    In terms of brand strength, convenience store 7-11 ranked first in the 2018 brand strength index ranking, to 85.9.

    Amazon ranked second, 84.4, home depot ranked third, 83.7.

    T.J.Maxx (80.5) ranks fourth; IKEA (80.4) ranks fifth; eBay (80.3) ranks sixth; Lowe's (80.3) ranks seventh; Auto Zone (79.7) ranks eighth; Coles (78.6) ranks first; Dollar General (eighth) ranks the top.
