Nantong's Modern Sericulture Technology Exports Laos

On the 25 day, Xu Shiqing, chief expert of the project group of "China and old green silk center sericulture demonstration garden", presented to reporters the achievements of Laotian in the past year.

Xu Shiqing is a distinguished professor of Nantong textile and silk industry technology research institute.

In July 26th last year, the Nantong textile and silk industry technology research institute, located in the Nantong high tech Zone, "the highly efficient and intensive pformation and demonstration project of key technologies for modern silkworm rearing" and the "middle and old green silk center sericulture demonstration garden" were unveiled in Vientiane, Laos.

The project is Nantong textile silk industry technology research institute actively respond to the national "one belt" initiative, according to the development trend of international division and cooperation of cocoon and silk industry, in order to break through the innovative measures and beneficial attempts of traditional advantage sericulture industry in Jiangsu province's land resources and environmental constraints and other bottle neck problems.

The demonstration garden is located in the rural area of saraca County, Vientiane County, Vientiane, Laos, covering an area of about 10 hectares.

Demonstration garden around the mulberry cultivation, cultivation, harvesting and utilization, silkworm eggs hatching, silkworm rearing, cocoon silk processing and other related technology demonstration and training, the establishment of reproducible sericulture production mode, and gradually realize the industrialization of modern mulberry planting and mulberry silkworm breeding technology, and cultivate a number of practical modern sericulture backbone for Laos.

"Our project is divided into three steps: the first step is to set up a demonstration garden in Laos, and to demonstrate and popularize China's excellent sericulture varieties and technologies in Laos. The second step is to build a bridgehead for Chinese related enterprises to go out and strive to help to solve the gap of domestic cocoons and raw materials. The third step is to create a modern silkworm industry that is suitable for Laos and has the characteristics of Chinese technology and deep participation of Chinese enterprises."

Xu Shiqing said.

At present, the hospital has set up 1 million 200 thousand years of seedling raising scale, seedling cultivation and cuttage nursery, and the factory efficient mulberry seedling base.

Mulberry garden uses the method of cultivating mulberry seedlings with plug plates with independent intellectual property rights. The seedling rate of seed raising is 5-10 times higher than that of the current sericulture production promotion method, and the seedling raising period is shortened by 2/3.

"It can be said that our demonstration garden has achieved initial success, and the Ministry of agriculture of Korea, Japan and other countries also came to learn it, and thought that our demonstration base was very distinctive.

Some domestic enterprises have also come to visit, one of which has signed a cooperation intention with us.

Xu Shiqing said frankly, as a "one belt and one road" project going out of the Research Institute, they did not satisfy the reproduction of a product or a simple product model. Instead, they hoped to rely on modern technology to boost the traditional silk industry again from the perspective of fostering an industry.
