Sino Egyptian Leather Industry Will Achieve Better Cooperation

Li Yuzhong, chairman of the China Leather Association, was invited to visit the Embassy in Ethiopia to meet with the Minister of counsellor Nicholas Kobd, the second meeting of the two sides this year.

At the meeting, the two sides first reviewed the situation of director Li Yuzhong heading to Ethiopia to attend the first international agricultural industry investment forum from October 4th to 8 this year.

President Li Yuzhong and his delegation also held talks with the Investment Bureau, leather and Footwear Association, leather and footwear research institute and some Chinese leather enterprises in Ethiopia to understand Ethiopia's investment policy and the development of leather industry, and visited Huajian light industrial park invested by Huajian group.

The government of Ethiopia has formulated a development plan centered on manufacturing, which will create more investment and business opportunities in the industrial field, especially in some export oriented industries, including more investment opportunities in agricultural products, textile and clothing, leather and leather products.

Ethiopia raw materials are rich in resources and low in price.

It is reported that there are 56 million cattle breeding in the country, 27 million sheep breeding and 25 million goat breeding.

Among them, the Chinese invested enterprises include 6 tanneries and 3 shoe factories.

China Leather Association and China Animal Products Circulation Association have carried out the evaluation work of "standardization demonstration field of Chinese fur animal breeding, standardization demonstration field" and "excellent provenance demonstration field of Chinese fur animal breeding". Through the field assessment and expert evaluation of the two associations, 11 award-winning aquaculture enterprises have been launched.

At the meeting, Huang Yanjie, director of the fur Specialized Committee of China Leather Association, read out the decision to commend the 2016 "China fur animal breeding standardization, standardization demonstration farm" and "China fur breeding animal breeding excellent demonstration farm", and awarded medals to the winning units.

The conference also discussed topics such as aquaculture alliances and the establishment of China fur auction.
