The Twenty-Fourth Informal Meeting Of APEC Leaders Will Be Held Soon.

As the second largest economy in the world and Asia Pacific, China has been playing an active role in APEC.

In the absence of global economic growth, the rise of trade protectionism and the fragmentation of regional economic integration, China actively advocates the spirit of openness of APEC and advocates the establishment of FTAAP, which is making new efforts to promote liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment in the Asia Pacific region.

In recent years, due to climate change and other factors, the food problem has attracted international attention and has become an important topic of APEC.

As an agricultural country, Peru attaches great importance to the investment and trade, food security and other issues in the grain market, so it is listed as the priority topic of this APEC conference.

In addition, 2015 APEC adopted the "Boracay action plan for the development of micro SMEs" in order to promote the internationalization and integration of the Asia Pacific micro small and medium-sized enterprises into the global value chain.
