The First National Standard Of "Thin Woven Garments" Issued By The Group

At present, the production and inspection of thin woven garments lack corresponding national standards and industry standards. The industry's default is to refer to the requirements of ordinary clothing.

However, the characteristics and loose style of thin garments decide that they can not produce according to the requirements of ordinary garments. This situation has caused great trouble to the production enterprises.

On the 15 day, the group standard of "thin woven garments" was introduced. It put forward strict requirements and specifications from terms, definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, pportation and storage.

It is understood that this is also the first group standard issued by Guangdong Standardization Association.

Yang Xinhui, director of the R & D center of the Ministry of clothing product quality supervision and Inspection Center (Guangzhou), said that "thin woven garments" is more stringent in some respects compared with the current standard of conventional clothing products.

According to Yang Xinhui, "thin woven garments" increased the safety performance index of heavy metal and o-benzoic acid two ester limit requirements, and according to the characteristics of light clothing, such as easy to thread, color pfer, combustion and other characteristics, the standard increased the color pfer fastness, wire performance, combustion energy requirements and test methods.

It is understood that the standard began preparations in 2013.

In May 2016, the Guangdong provincial standardization association decided to set up the project, and jointly drew up the group standard of "thin woven garments" by Shenzhen film Fashion Group Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou textile products testing and Research Institute.

After half a year's development, the "thin woven garment" standard will be implemented in December 15, 2016.

At present, the group standard has aroused repercussions in the thin woven garment production enterprises. 32 well-known garment manufacturers in and outside Guangdong have declared that they are willing to implement the group standard to promote the quality improvement of thin woven garments and upgrade their products.
