British Designers Develop Bio Running Shoes: They Can Repair Themselves.

ShameesAden, a designer and researcher in London, is now developing a running shoes made of synthetic biomaterials.

The running shoes can be generated through 3D printers and have the ability to repair them overnight.

The original cell (Protocell) used in the running shoes developed by ShameesAden is a material with excellent sense of bonding. It seems to be the second layer skin of human being, and the size of the user's feet can be obtained through 3D printing technology.

And the running shoes will adjust the shape of the air cushion according to the pressure generated by the user during the movement.

Primitive cells belong to a stage between organic macromolecules and real cells. They can not exist in isolation, but they can be combined to form a tissue with life.

By mixing these different types of non living molecules, scientists can create a living system and respond to external stresses, light and heat.

These cells can be inflated or deflated according to pressure.

When you run on different roads, it can inflate or deflate according to different road pressures to provide support for runners.

After running, the original cells in running shoes lose energy, so you need to immerse them in tanks filled with raw cell fluid to maintain the health of these organisms.

Interestingly, these liquids can also be dyed in any color. When the cells in the running shoes are restored, the color of the liquid becomes the color of the running shoes.

Aden said his running shoes plan is to let more people understand the potential of cell technology, which is still in the conceptual stage and will become a reality in 2050.
