Reporters have investigated several provinces and found that night shift allowance standards in some places have not been adjusted for many years.

For example, Shanghai and Jiangsu implemented 1995.

It has not risen for 17 years. Fujian and Shandong carried out the 1997 Policy; Hunan carried out the 2005 policy; Hebei carried out the 2008 policy.

Night shift allowance has not been adjusted along with the level of wage increase, and even the workers have worked continuously for 12 hours and the night shift fee is at a minimum of 4.4 yuan.

For this reason, there are labor law experts calling for the adjustment of night shift allowance should be included in the labor laws and regulations, and night shift allowance should not be an employee's forgotten interest.

Shanghai's current night shift allowance standard was set up in 1995, and has not been adjusted for 20 years.

Many local workers have some complaints about this.

In 1995, the minimum wage in Shanghai was 270 yuan, while this year it was adjusted to 2020 yuan, but the standard of 4.4 yuan night shift allowance remained unchanged.
