SWAROVSKI's "Yangtze River" Exhibition Tour Will Be Held In Shanghai

SWAROVSKI has recently announced the launch of a major creative collaboration with renowned film director, photographer and writer Eric Valli. "Live in the Yangtze River" is a multimedia exhibition. It tells the story of seven communities living along the Yangtze River. The exhibition will be held in Shanghai in September 9th this year, coincides with the opening of the Asia high end professional photography exhibition, 2015 Shanghai art video exhibition.

The exhibition is aimed at arousing people's awareness and awareness of the importance of clean and sustainable water resources by using films as a medium.

"The best way to improve environmental awareness is not to frighten the audience through disastrous data, but to inspire them by showing beautiful natural scenery," Valli said.

The organizer of this exhibition is Shanghai The art video exhibition and Shanghai new beauty pavilion exhibition Co., Ltd. (Mega Expo) jointly launched, and won the strong support of Shanghai Jingan District Business Committee.

The project cooperated with the Shangri-La Sustainable Community Association and received strong support from the local government and the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of education. Its teaching target was extended to 100 schools. By the end of 2014, 173 thousand children had benefited. 15 years ago, SWAROVSKI water school was founded in Austria. Now it has set up a stronghold in some of the largest river areas in the world to form a global network. SWAROVSKI water school enables students and their families to understand the importance of clean and sustainable water resources through fascinating pictures and storytelling.

The "home to the Yangtze" exhibition shows a magnificent landscape, depicting the face that Eric encountered on the way. The Yangtze River is the third largest river in the world, raising 480 million people, which is equivalent to 1/3 of China's population.

The "stay in the Yangtze River" project starts with a basic observation: as human beings, we are relatively easy to forget figures, data and things we do not want to hear, but we will firmly remember those things that touch our hearts - beauty, gentleness, passion and harmony. So we decided to bomb people without data and depressing statistics. Instead, we should show the beautiful side. We want the audience to realize how beautiful their cultural heritage and traditions are, so that they can be proud of them and inspire them to act, rather than let them feel deeply ashamed and disheartened.

The exhibition will be held in Shanghai Jingan park from September the 9th to 27.
