In May 2006, Liu Lu's graduation design work was selected as the best design award of the year. One of his works was displayed in the window of Saks Fifth Avenue, the most historic department store in Fifth Avenue, New York.

In the year after graduation, Liu Lu helped GK Reid, a famous American stylist, collaborated with many Hollywood stars.
