In recent years, the textile covered yarn industry of Shuyang economic and Technological Development Zone has attracted much attention. It was awarded the "advanced unit of textile and garment industry cluster development in Jiangsu province" by the Jiangsu Textile Industry Association during the sixteenth international garment Festival. At present, the development zone has gathered 13 textile fiber manufacturing enterprises, and has 4260 sets of covered yarn equipment, with an annual output of 98 thousand tons of coated yarn. And settled in 36 supporting enterprises, is the national and even the world's largest covered yarn production equipment, the largest production quality of the covering yarn industry base.

The experience and practice of the Shuyang Development Zone in strengthening and strengthening the textile covered yarn industry are mainly embodied in the "five intensification" aspects:

Strengthen atmosphere construction. Through extensive publicity and promotion, enterprises and merchants will be guided and introduced to upgrade and upgrade traditional textile industry and improve the matching of upstream and downstream industries. We also invite experts from China knitwear industry association to plan pulse for the textile industrial park, and create a good atmosphere for the development of enterprises, especially the pillar industries of textile and coated yarns. The development area is also based on reality, and has carried out four competitions in the region for three consecutive years, namely, investment promotion, project promotion, expansion and upgrading, and project clearance.

The introduction of equipment reward policy, enterprise grading method and factory auxiliary system will enable textile covered yarn enterprises to develop healthily.

Strengthen financial service 。 Under the background of tight macro financial environment, we should optimize financial services and solve enterprise problems. 1/3 of the 1 billion 800 million yuan loan secured by the Guarantee Corporation in the development zone is used for textile covered yarn enterprises.

Strengthening scientific and technological innovation. Policy support to encourage enterprises to carry out scientific and technological innovation, through efforts, in 2013 alone, they were granted 2 provincial-level enterprise technology centers, 1 provincial engineering and technology research centers, 1 provincial engineering centers, 1 provincial innovative practice bases, 1 national post doctoral research workstations and 7 provincial postgraduate workstations, which ensured that textile enterprises' products were always in the lead in the same industry. Among them, covered yarn, knitted sweater, Knitted Bathrobe, stockings, jacquard shading curtain cloth and other new products can be called the national "singles champion".

From 1 to August this year, the textile industry of the development zone has achieved an industrial output value of 10 billion 720 million yuan, accounting for 23.8% of the total industrial output value of the whole region. The covering yarn industry achieved 3 billion 290 million yuan of industrial output value, accounting for 7.3% of the total industrial output value of the region, and provided 46 thousand jobs.
