In order to earn some extra money, they also get some raw materials every day, and "burn the midnight oil" with their families.

In the first few years, they produced the simplest leather shoes, plastic shoes, cloth shoes and so on, and there were usually less than 10 colors.

But now, Lin Yan's sons and daughters produce many kinds of shoes in the factory. Sometimes, even for more than 20 years, she can not tell whether the raw materials are leather shoes or sports shoes.

Lin Yan said that due to limited conditions, they produced mostly semi finished products, and it was difficult to know the final appearance of the finished products.

After the assembly line operation, most shoe factories have the ability to produce finished shoes.

In Lin Yan's memory, almost all the big boss of the early Putian shoemaking came from Taiwan.

In recent years, Lin Yan has heard from the next generation of people, such as the upper shoe factory founded by the local bosses of Putian, Huafeng and so on, and all kinds of shoemaking workshops and small factories near the village.

Indeed, in the early 80s of last century, our city took the advantage of geographical and human connections to undertake the shift of the footwear industry in Taiwan, forming a shoemaking industry, and training a number of footwear production, operation, management and technical personnel. As Lin Yan feels about the old man, in the past 30 years, the shoe industry in our city has undergone tremendous changes.

By 2007, the number of shoes produced in our city has reached 400 million pairs, and the output has increased 4000 times than originally.

Shoemaking enterprises also increased to nearly 1700, of which more than 200 were scale enterprises and more than 50 were billion enterprises.

Since 2001, the footwear industry in our city has increased by two digits per year. By the end of last year, nearly 300 thousand employees were employed, with an annual output value of 20 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 30% of the total industrial output value of the whole city.
