Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, the development of all types of market participants in the country was faster and the registered capital increased significantly. As of the end of March 2014, there were 61 million 779 thousand and 400 main market entities in the country, an increase of 12.1% over the same period last year, an increase of 4.3 percentage points over the same period last year, and a 106 trillion and 370 billion increase in registered capital (gold), an increase of 19.25%.

The number of enterprises in the second and third industries showed an accelerating growth trend. As of the end of March 2014, the total number of registered trademarks of the national market participants was 13 million 702 thousand and 100, an increase of 16.66% over the previous year, and the total registered volume was 8 million 965 thousand and 300, an increase of 13.08%. In the first quarter of 2014, the number of trademark applications was 460 thousand and 800, an increase of 19.40% over the same period last year. The number of trademark registrations was 313 thousand, an increase of 14.66% over the same period. There are 281 thousand and 600 domestic registrations, 31 thousand and 300 international registrations, 9 thousand of which are registered in Madrid.

The national industrial and commercial system has investigated and dealt with 22 thousand and 600 cases of consumer rights and interests protection, a decrease of 4.2% over the same period, but accounts for 25.3% of the total number of cases that disrupt the market competition order, the highest in the past 5 years.

The problem of infringement and counterfeiting is still high. The national industrial and commercial system investigated 16 thousand and 100 cases of infringement and counterfeiting, accounting for 18% of the cases that disrupted the market competition order. In addition, there are 848 cases involving trademark malicious registration in trademark review, involving 36.6% of cases involving other well-known trademarks.
