It is used to improve the overload preload of the road section and prevent the soft foundation subsidence of the large coastal passageway. Generally it is laid in the retaining wall within the sea. The width is about 40 meters, and the different sections generally lay 1 to 5 layers.

Chen Qingchun, the person in charge of the construction site, said that at present, the 4 sections of the large coastal road need to lay high strength geotextiles have completed the laying of a section, and the laying of other sections has also been completed. The construction workers can lay about 60 meters long and 40 meters wide a day.

If we lay multi-layered geotextiles, we usually fill the first floor with 5 centimeter thick sand, and then lay second layers.

According to Liu Yingzhen, chief engineer of Binhai Road construction headquarters in Quanzhou, the total length of the main section of the coastal section is 6.91 km, of which 5.88 km is needed for the construction of high strength geotextiles. The laying work is expected to be completed next month, and the whole coastal large channel project will be completed in July next year.
