Last Saturday, the Wenzhou German SME Cooperation and exchange conference was held in our city. Wenzhou and German enterprises face to face "blind date".

Experts at the meeting said that it is now a good opportunity for Wenzhou enterprises to absorb technology and brand of German enterprises.

Wenzhou - the German SME Cooperation and exchange conference is an important part of the 2008 China (Wenzhou) light fair. It was hosted by the municipal government, the Municipal Economic and Trade Commission and the Wenzhou branch of the communications bank, attracting German heavyweight organizations and enterprises such as the German small and Medium Enterprises Federation, the German Automobile Industry Federation and the MLT group.

At the exchange meeting, the small and medium-sized German companies who had been crossing the ocean showed more than 130 projects for SMEs in Wenzhou, covering automobile manufacturing, solar cells, plastic machinery, wind energy construction, finance and other fields. Niels Kerger, deputy general manager of Monitor Group, Frankfurt branch, recommended 16 potential M & A partners to Wenzhou enterprises at the meeting.

Shi Sheng, financial manager of Zhejiang Xintai Group Limited, said that their company is developing solar energy projects, and has long been eager to cooperate with foreign enterprises that possess solar energy technology, learn technology and introduce equipment.

The Q-Cells company in Germany is a famous company engaged in R & D and production of solar cells.

It is learnt that with the development of economic globalization, small and medium-sized enterprises in our city are ready to move to the global market. Many of them are trying to find international partners and establish an international trade bridge.

A valve manufacturer in Wenzhou said that the R & D and production capacity of Wenzhou valve enterprises has reached a fairly high level, but buyers prefer foreign brands. Therefore, if they can cooperate with foreign brands, it will be a good way for them to expand the international market.

The German Federation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is the highest institution representing Germany's 55 small and medium enterprises consortium, 85 10000 member enterprises and 38 national industry associations, and the second largest Chamber of Commerce in Germany.

Thomas, chief representative of the association, said that in the global financial crisis, German SMEs were hit hard. Some enterprises were trapped in the predicament. But they had advanced R & D technology and strong brands in their hands. Now it is a good time for SMEs in Wenzhou to seek cooperation, mergers and acquisitions and make full use of their resources.
