In the field of carbon fiber manufacturing alone, the group's production accounts for nearly half of the domestic carbon fiber output. In addition to the cheap price of polyester, the softness is much higher than that of acrylic fiber, and the idea of "polyester nitrile" was put forward by Zhang Guoliang when he visited South Korea textile mill in 2003.

After watching the new polyester filament produced by the factory, Zhang Guoliang said, "the trend toward polyester nitrile is irresistible."

After returning to China in 2009, he formally realized the production of polyester filament in China through cooperation with domestic manufacturers, and subsequently applied it to the production of blankets and plush products.

Today, the implementation of this concept has made the products made of polyester, such as plush, blankets and flannelette, "dominate the world" with export volume of several million tons per year.

In September 29, 2005, Zhang Guoliang gathered all the technical backbone of the group and began to close down to overcome carbon fiber. The technical team worked in the factory for nearly a year, and experienced numerous failures before and after, and spent billions of dollars.

In September 16, 2006, the carbon fiber production line was officially completed.

In less than a year, the annual production line of 300 tons of T300 carbon fiber was formally put into operation and expanded to 1000 ton production line in 2007.

At present, the eagle swim group has occupied the leading position in the civilian T300 carbon fiber market, and has been used in bicycles, table tennis, Violin and other products.

Compared with T300 carbon fiber, T700 carbon fiber has higher performance and wider application, but also has higher technological requirements.

To achieve the production of T700, we must break the shackles of "wet spinning". In the United States and Japan, "dry spray wet spinning process" is the key technology to produce T700.

In 2007, Zhang Guoliang began to study the dry spray wet spinning process with several doctoral candidates from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. After collecting data for nearly two years, he successfully conquered the technology in 2009 and made China the third country to produce T700 carbon fiber in the world.
