    Textile and clothing is a traditional competitive industry in Ningbo. After more than 30 years of development, Ningbo has formed a relatively complete textile and clothing industry chain covering the upstream, midstream and downstream of cotton and wool textiles, silk, linen, home textiles, machinery, etc. It is the largest garment manufacturing base, the largest garment accessories production base, the largest yarn production base, the largest knitting production base, the largest jacquard weaving base An important production base for cord fabric and recycled fiber, it now has nearly 3000 garment manufacturers of all kinds, with an annual output of nearly 1.5 billion garments, accounting for about 12% of the total national garment output.


    In recent years, restricted by such factors as land, energy and environment, especially the impact of the international financial crisis, the growth rate of Ningbo's textile and clothing industry has slowed down, which is highlighted by the shrinking market share and low added value of products.


    The rapid development of the Internet has greatly inspired Ningbo's textile and clothing industry, which has become the first industry in Ningbo to "get an electric shock". Nowadays, more and more textile and clothing enterprises use Internet technology to obtain business and technical information, and at the same time, try to develop e-commerce and open a new world of market sales with "e-commerce". "E-Commerce market exchange" has become a powerful supplement to the traditional physical store sales of Ningbo textile and clothing enterprises.


    On October 17, Ningbo Soma Garment Technology Co., Ltd. publicly recruited professionals who are familiar with e-commerce. They are required to have "more than three years of experience in e-commerce operation and management, and be familiar with the specific operation plan and various payment methods of Taobao Mall". This is the latest enterprise to enter the e-commerce field in Ningbo.


    Unlike Soma, Ningbo Boyang, GXG, Taipingbird and other famous garment enterprises have many years of e-commerce experience. Now they are working hard to welcome the upcoming "Double 11" feast. Last year's "Double 11", these companies have made a lot of money. Boyang Group's clothing, clothing and home textile brands set a record of 120 million yuan in sales per day. In 2012, Boyang's annual online sales reached 1.52 billion yuan, GXG's online sales reached 280 million yuan, and Taipingbird's online sales reached 240 million yuan.


    The rapid development of e-commerce in Ningbo textile and clothing enterprises is inseparable from the guidance and support of the local government. In recent years, Ningbo has vigorously promoted the deep integration of industrialization and informatization, and encouraged enterprises to enter the field of e-commerce to explore the market. The Interim Measures for the Management of Special Support Funds for E-commerce in Ningbo City, issued in July this year, stipulates that Ningbo Municipal Finance will allocate 10 million yuan of special support funds for e-commerce every year for e-commerce application and development, and eligible local e-commerce enterprises can receive up to 600000 yuan of subsidies. In addition, with the help of the annual Clothing Expo, the first e-commerce application summit of the clothing industry in China was held, and well-known e-commerce companies such as Taobao and Alibaba were invited to communicate with local clothing enterprises, which greatly promoted the development of e-commerce of Ningbo clothing enterprises.


    E-commerce brings more than visible sales to Ningbo garment enterprises. Lin Yunhua, director of the president office of Boyang Group, said, "E-commerce enables us to obtain market information in a timely manner, which helps us to conduct in-depth tracking and analysis of the market and brand, and then combine with offline sales to carry out precision marketing."


    The relevant person in charge of Ningbo Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology said that Ningbo encourages and promotes the textile and clothing industry to realize the innovation of marketing mode with the help of e-commerce, thus driving the industrial upgrading and development, and striving to make the traditional competitive industries walk out a new road with high scientific and technological content, good economic benefits, and low resource consumption.
