P, Bangladesh, the world's second largest exporter of garments, has recently caused thousands of casualties due to the lack of safety supervision in the industry.

In addition to the United States' moratorium on giving preferential treatment to developing countries, the Bangladesh government is facing this problem. Internationally renowned buyers also offer special funds or other education training, hoping to help improve the production safety of garment factories.

Nazrul Islam Khan, Secretary General of the Bangladesh labour Research Institute, pointed out that the problem of industrial labor safety should not be dominated by foreign buyers, but also that domestic labor rights should be granted to a platform for joint efforts with employers.

< p > the members of the NTPA plan put forward that the individual or collective of the garment industry should take relevant responsibilities to ensure the integrity of fire safety and construction.

The main contents of the review include plant building integrity, fire safety assessment, strengthening labour supervision, workers and management training, occupational safety and worker health, workers' rights and rehabilitation care for disabled workers.

The implementation of these activities will be monitored by the three party committee. The chairman of the committee will be held by Mikail Shipar, Secretary of the Ministry of labour and employment of Bangladesh.

The committee will review and update the necessary action plans, and it is expected that the relevant review actions will continue until 2015.

Mikail Shipar said: "this action plan brings together many important commitments, together with the government, employers' organizations and workers' organizations to ensure the safety of the garment industry in Bangladesh.

We will solve the problems in fire safety and building structures in a coordinated way. "

In the past financial year, although the Bangladesh garment industry suffered from political turmoil and a series of industrial accidents, its exports still increased by about 12.7% in the past financial year.

According to the Bangladesh Export Promotion Council (EPB), Bangladesh's clothing exports amounted to US $21 billion 510 million in the 2012~2013 fiscal year (July June 2012), up from US $19 billion 90 million in the previous year.

Although export growth has reached 12.7%, the total export volume has not yet reached the expected target of US $21 billion 540 million.

Among them, the export volume of woven garments was 11 billion 40 million US dollars, an increase of 15% over the same period, and the export of knitted garments reached US $10 billion 470 million, an increase of 10.4% over the same period last year.

Since P last October, global buyers began to increase orders from Bangladesh.

At present, the country's volatile political situation and production safety risks have not had any negative impact on the increase of orders. Besides the European and American markets, orders from Japan, Russia and Latin America also show growth trend.

However, the vice president of the Bangladesh garment manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) said that the impact of factory safety problems will still appear in the coming months.
