Adidas Wants To Be China'S First
100 days after the countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games, Adidas's huge posters everywhere in the Beijing subway station set off another round of advertising attacks.
April 30th coincided with the Olympic countdown for 100 days, and Adidas did not want to let go of this marketing opportunity.
The reporter learned that Adidas plans to organize citizens to take part in long distance running activities in Beijing from May 1st to May 2nd.
Long distance running routes may choose from Chaoyang Park to the world trade scale.
"Unlike in the past, the electronic screen along the line can show the number of people involved in long-distance running."
People familiar with Adidas's organizational process revealed to reporters.
And Adidas's marketing promotion measures after 100 days countdown invariably point to the same goal -- the first market share in China.
In fact, in a recent exclusive interview with this newspaper, Haina, Adidas's global president, made no secret of this goal: "I hope to achieve the first market share in China in 2008 through the opportunity of the Beijing Olympic Games."
"Adidas's current sales volume is the number one in China."
People close to Adidas even said.
According to press reports, Adidas currently maintains 3 to 4 stores per day in China.
Haina also told reporters that by the 2008 Olympic Games, Adidas hopes to have 5000 stores in China.
And Adidas's marketing campaign this year will "carry the Olympic Games through to the end" and infiltrate Olympic elements into every detail of Adidas's product promotion.
On the official website of Adidas, the new product launch has already joined the online interaction of "realizing Olympic dream". The winning consumers will interact with the former Chinese football team Qu Chuliang, the national judo team member Tong Wen and the old women volleyball players, and also play the guest role in the sitcom of "Olympic games to my home".
It is reported that Adidas sponsors part of the filming of the sitcom.
In June this year, Adidas's biggest flagship store in the world will be sold to Sanlitun. This action is also to show its determination to win the first share of China's market share.
Previously, the world's largest Adidas flagship store was set up in the UK.
"At that time, Adidas might publish data on China's market share."
Familiar with Adidas's staff told reporters.
