Puma Enters Fashion Market To Hire Star Designer
Puma CEO Jochen Zeitz recently announced that Puma has acquired most of the famous designer Hussein Chalayan, and Puma will also employ him as creative director.
Chut said that Puma products will no longer be confined to sportswear, but will also join fashion clothes. 80% of the products will go into the streets and lanes. The original Puma sportswear design will be refreshing.
Hussein Chalayan was born in Cyprus in 1970 and graduated from the prestigious Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Saint Martin.
In 1999 and 2000, he was also named the best fashion designer in the UK.
Puma, Germany, is the third largest sportswear brand in the world, second only to Nike and Adidas.
Last summer, Puma went to France's luxury Brand Company, PPR.
