The self-discipline standard requires that Japanese textile and clothing products should be provided with specific azo dye test reports, no specific azo dye undertaking and dyeing factory details.
Shenzhen inspection and Quarantine Bureau responsible person said yesterday that the implementation of the new standards in the short term will inevitably increase the cost of export enterprises, export enterprises should actively respond to.
According to the Shenzhen inspection and Quarantine Bureau, if the aromatic amine substances used as dyes in some textile dyestuffs are carcinogenic in contact with the skin, the hundreds of azo dyes containing this substance will be banned from the EU, the United States and many other countries.
In the industry self-discipline standard issued by Japan, 22 kinds of azo dyes that are required for clothing and textile products can not exceed 30mg/kg, and are designed to conform to international textile standards.
It is reported that more than 80% of the textile and apparel products imported from Japan are imported from China, which is one of the most important markets for Chinese garment and textile exporters.
The implementation of the new standard will inevitably increase the cost of export enterprises in the short run and bring certain trade risks to export enterprises.
The inspection and Quarantine Department reminded the relevant enterprises to respond positively, strengthen the procurement and acceptance of raw and auxiliary materials, actively communicate with customers, and send samples early inspection if necessary, so as to ensure that the export products meet the new requirements of the importing countries.
