Wuhan College Students Environmental Fashion Show

Students from Wuhan Institute of technology and primary school students from landslide Road Primary School staged an environmental fashion show. The students wore various kinds of clothes made of newspapers, wrapping paper, plastic bags, woven bags, paper water cups and beverage bottles clothing Step on the catwalk. College students also made ancient costumes and carried weapons to travel through time and space.

Liu Yang, a primary school student, said that under the guidance of his family, he made it out of waste materials clothing , not only to cultivate their own environmental habits, but also to remind everyone to reduce the use of disposable appliances, save resources.

A tree more than 3 meters high is made of more than 500 disposable chopsticks and named "chopsticks tree". It immediately reminds people that the disposable chopsticks used every day are the number of trees to be cut down and the destruction of the earth's ecology.

More than 100 pieces of DIY works were displayed on the scene of the activity. These works were made from the waste of life, some of which were from community residents and some were from college students.

Each piece of work is amazing and reminds people of the crisis of the surrounding environment. Many tourists keep taking pictures of the works with their cameras as souvenirs.

Red, yellow, green, square, round and star shaped soap are actually made by community residents with waste oil.

Yang Guangjie, a resident of Baibuting community in Jiang'an District, said that the waste oil in his home not only pollutes the environment but also threatens food safety. Previously, it was easy to grow worms or block when it was poured into the sewer at will. A year ago, Yang Guangjie thought about using waste oil. He searched the Internet for soap making methods, bought caustic soda and spices, mixed the waste oil collected at home, poured it into molds, and condensed into pieces of soap.

"This kind of soap has strong decontamination power and is economical and affordable," Yang Guangjie said. It costs only 7 cents to make an ordinary waste oil soap, but it should be sold at least 1 yuan in the market. Many citizens gathered around for sightseeing, asking for advice on production methods.
