The direct reason for this is that, first of all, due to the slow economic recovery, the traditional market demand of the developed countries in Europe and the United States has weakened and may even change their consumption habits. Secondly, the development of Chinese furniture has a similar economic pattern. After the decline in the export of developed countries, it mainly relies on expanding domestic demand to support economic development.

Therefore, China's light industrial products are facing more fierce competition in the traditional export market, and also have strong resistance to the development of emerging markets.

In order to protect the employment of domestic labor force, the level of international specialization has been degraded. In order to maintain the interests of some enterprises in China, trade protectionism has intensified in the world.

For China's leather products, although the recovery of exports has increased at the present stage, in the long run, the foundation of the world economic recovery is not stable, and the imbalance of regional development is increasing.

The export of leather products is facing the double squeeze of the developed and developing countries, and the competition environment is unprecedented difficult.

In January 2010, the China ASEAN free trade area was fully built, and more than 90% of Chinese goods, including shoes, entered the main ASEAN market, which had achieved zero tariff. This stimulated the export of Chinese shoes to a certain extent.

Establishing free trade zones is an important attempt to reduce trade disputes. However, customs data show that our products exported to ASEAN are still of low added value.

Therefore, the comprehensive establishment of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area will bring broader market space to our shoe enterprises. At the same time, we should prevent the risk of new trade friction events caused by the massive export of low-priced products by enterprises.

If we want to fundamentally solve the industrial safety problems of leather industry in China, we must strive for better internal trade environment while striving for a better foreign trade environment.

Problems that need to be solved urgently include changing the superstition of foreign capital, canceling the super national treatment to foreign investors, returning the factor price to the real value, changing the export oriented policy, improving the trading conditions in the domestic market, strengthening the information collection work, understanding the formulation of the international advanced standards as soon as possible, and indeed improving the level of product safety technology in the leather industry.

The core is to change the abnormal low value-added situation existing in the export of leather products in China, and create a good environment for enterprises to choose the target market freely.

At home, it experienced the regulation of national macro policies, the rising cost of raw materials, labor and energy, the continued appreciation of RMB, the pressure of environmental protection and energy saving and emission reduction.

China's accession to the WTO has brought opportunities for development as well as unprecedented challenges.

At this point, the China Leather Association has adhered to the "leather logo" and "genuine leather logo eco leather" as the platform, put forward higher requirements, and constantly improved its product specification and management procedures, and increased publicity and promotion efforts.

At the same time, we explored and established a new linkage mechanism of "enterprise creation, government assistance and association push" in our work.

The government has formulated encouraging policies to help create a good atmosphere for licensing, and the association has taken various measures to promote licensing.

The three cooperate with each other to form a group of famous brands both at home and abroad.

In recent years, the leather industry has been in the process of reshuffling and reorganization. With the continuous strengthening of environmental protection policies, cruel market competition will eliminate the uncompetitive small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, environmental protection standards, products with market competitiveness, technological innovation ability, and standardized management of tanning enterprises will rise in the shuffle and become the leader and backbone of the development of the industry.
