Yesterday, at the thirteenth international dress festival of Jiangsu, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial People's government, the school of Applied Technology of Soochow University, as a participating university, displayed a series of high-tech new products developed with enterprises, attracting the attention of many garment enterprises.

Professor Fu Jufen, executive vice president of the school, told reporters that for the first time as a exhibitor, they not only brought clothing products designed by teachers and students, but also showed a series of new clothing materials jointly developed with enterprises, such as "bamboo made clothes" and "Huan Baowen chest pad", which are very interesting to enterprises.
"In the past, bamboo was usually made into bamboo pulp and made into spinning solution, but the process needed additives, which was not natural enough and environmentally friendly.
We have jointly developed natural bamboo fiber fabrics with several textile enterprises in Wujiang and Hunan, and successfully achieved industrialization.
Professor Fu Jufen explained that the bamboo fiber was extracted directly from bamboo and was pure natural. After making the fabric, it was very similar to hemp. It was a very high quality fabric and sold well in the international market.

"Suzhou MTS" is an important production base for underwear brand. Today's bra liner is usually made of sponge, because the sponges are low in cost and easy to press, but the shortcoming of sponge is that it is not good enough for air permeability and comfort, and it will yellowing after long use, which will affect the appearance of bra.
Through cooperative development, three dimensional nonwoven liner materials have been successfully developed.
Professor Fu told reporters that the new product is only two to three times more expensive than the ordinary sponge pad. The appearance is very sponge like, but the material has achieved the natural requirements of environmental protection, and it is not yellowing. It is not inflammable and easy to form.
In addition to being applied to bra pad, 3D non-woven lining material extends to bedding, sofa seat, car cushion and so on.
The research has also been successfully funded by the Jiangsu University Natural Science Foundation and the applied basic research fund of Suzhou science and Technology Bureau.
Seeing their designs, there are enterprises invited to cooperate.
It is not the first time to invite colleges and universities to take part in the clothing festival. Yu Bing, President of Jiangsu clothing association, told reporters that the clothing industry is a fashionable industry. It is changing rapidly. At present, the most missing is the talent. Whether it is design development or marketing, it needs the support of talents, which requires industry, enterprises and universities to have zero distance.
"Jiangsu is a major clothing Province, and also a major province of clothing education. Nearly 40 colleges and universities have clothing related majors.
