Before and after the Spring Festival in 2012, many enterprises in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Shantou, Jiangmen and other places involved clothing, toys, food, footwear, electronics, machinery manufacturing, sports equipment, lighting, LED, etc.

"Guangdong is still the largest producer of clothing in the country, but the growth rate has dropped sharply."

The clothing and apparel industry association of Guangdong Province found that the output of clothing enterprises decreased by 13% compared with the previous year only in October.

"After the Spring Festival of 2010, the clothing enterprises in Guangdong were in the peak season of production increase, but in 2011, such production peak season never appeared," the association official pointed out.

After the Spring Festival of 2012, many garment enterprises admitted that the signs of the coming peak season had not yet appeared.

In the survey, many garment enterprises have not been very sure about the order this year.

According to the Guangdong apparel and apparel industry association, in fact, the lack of orders in clothing industry has been seen since 2011. Orders for clothing enterprises have been reduced by about 30% in 2011. Nearly half of the export enterprises have indicated that orders are seriously lacking, and most other orders can only be maintained before and after the Spring Festival.
