The Real Problem Behind "Export To Domestic Sales"

    2012/1/10 10:18:00 24

    Export Domestic Sales

Recently, the Da Vinci affair has been fermented again, and Da Vinci has begun to fight back. But they have not denied that they sell some "products", such as "Hollywood brand", which are produced in mainland China. Some of them still have excessive publicity. For example, the resin is inverted to promote solid wood carving, but I think that it is not the biggest problem to measure the average degree of honesty in China's business. Da Vinci is not the biggest problem.

What makes me think is that even if the same product is made in China, why is there any problem?

A few days ago, I borrowed the opportunity to visit the United States, and deliberately took some time to go to some shopping malls to bring some gifts to my relatives and friends. This gave me a chance to reflect.

Since I am buying abroad, I am very careful when choosing goods, not only considering the price and quality of the products, but also paying much attention to the production areas of the products.

Several times, I found a good price and quality product, but once I saw the label "Made in China" on its package, I had to give it up.

The salesperson next to me was surprised to see that I always turned the label, so I asked if there was anything I could do to help. I said to make sure that it was not made in China.

I regret when I speak, but in fact, I do not despise the meaning of domestic products.

Sure enough, the salesperson misunderstood me and told me that the quality of these Chinese products is really good.

It further explains why Chinese workers are very skillful.

I hasten to say, I am Chinese, of course, the products made in China are not biased, and just because I come from mainland China, so if you bring a "made in China" product back home, it will be a little funny.

After several such experiences, I began to ponder over the differences between Chinese and American shopping choices.

In the United States, many products are tagging "Made in China" labels, including some comparable products.

Many Americans believe that Chinese people can produce products that can ensure both quality and benefit, and provide convenience for their lives.

In mainland China, however, there is another scene. Few manufacturers are proud of "made in China". Many manufacturers try to hide the real origin of the product, or disguise the product as an imported product, which is also recognized by consumers.

China can't make Facebook and can't make Google, but in the field of manufacturing, our manufacturing capability is not inferior to that of any other nation in the world in addition to the absolute high-end fields such as aero engines, and paradoxically, the Chinese do not recognize themselves.

Take Da Vinci furniture as an example, if the label is "made in China", people will not consider it to be a high-end brand, but after importing the label, everyone is willing to spend a lot of money to rush to buy it.

The reason behind this is that the trust mechanism and signal system in China are almost in disorder.

The performance of this disorder is actually not only in the field of manufacturing.

In many areas of China today, there is a logic that does not recognize domestic products, such as the field of education.

As far as I know, today's universities in China emphasize the background of study abroad. Many universities clearly state their recruitment information. The candidate of a lecturer or a teaching assistant must be "returned doctor", which is exactly the same as Da Vinci's environment.

On the contrary, China is not the only country in the past that was completely blocked by information.

During the period of the Republic of China, it took six months to go abroad to study, and today, with the rapid development of globalization, even if we are in the countryside, if we have the desire to study and take a cable, we can also get in touch with the most advanced knowledge and problems in the West.

In my opinion, studying abroad is certainly a good investment in life, but it is by no means a necessary choice, because everyone's situation is different.

On the contrary, I find it strange sometimes because some foreign doctors who came back from the United States are not more capable of learning than I am, and even less able to communicate in English.

I am very curious how these people got their doctorates in the United States, and they are almost the same as Da Vinci furniture.

Many areas of China today face Da Vinci furniture problems.

Furniture is not necessarily good for Italy, and scholars are not necessarily American, but Chinese people are used to labeling themselves with Western labels and gaining the recognition of the local market in a way of "export to domestic sales".

This is where the deeper tragedy lies, and it is also worth reflecting.

As for Da Vinci, maybe it is a piece of fig cloth that helps us to block the deep problems. As a businessman, I think it is not immoral to choose its own choice. It only chooses the most suitable business mode in this environment.
