Pakistan Leather And Footwear Industry Export Decline

This year, leather manufacturers in Pakistan experienced a loss year. In the 7-10 months of the current fiscal year, leather exports dropped by 17.04%, leather clothing exports dropped 5.59%, leather gloves exports decreased by 42.27%, and the export of other leather goods decreased by 39.62%.

In shoe industry, the export of leather shoes has dropped by 11.86%, and the export of canvas shoes has dropped by 34.05%.

In the season of Eid al Fitr, nearly 20% of the long skins and skins concentrated airflow were destroyed, which added to the misfortune of the manufacturers, which resulted in the loss of millions of dollars in Pakistan due to the violation of conventional permission.

Lahm, Secretary of the Pakistan fur manufacturers and Exporters Association, said that Pakistan imported $5000-6000 of leather to offset the decline in production.

Pakistan's fur exports account for 65% of the total exports, and Pakistan's leather clothing exports have been worst affected. The export of leather garments has dropped by 24%, due to the low quality raw materials and the demand reduction from the international market in Pakistan.
