Zhuang Dehua: Introduction Of Energy Saving Technology For Pure Cotton
In December 16, 2011, the China Textile Innovation annual meeting was held in Millennium Minneapolis in Beijing. The annual conference of China Textile Innovation was hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation. It is one of the most important annual meetings of China's textile industry. It is held in December every year for 1 days.
The theme of the annual meeting in 2011 is: change and layout: new environment, new impetus and new orientation.
The following is the technical promotion manager Zhuang Dehua of the Cotton Corp in Asia, who describes the printing and dyeing technology of eco friendly cotton fabrics.
Distinguished leaders, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon! I am from the United States.
cotton
Zhuang Dehua, the Shanghai Representative Office of the company, is very honored to have such an opportunity to participate in our annual Textile Innovation annual meeting as a major event in China's textile industry.
Today I would like to introduce some of the new technologies that have been studied by the US Cotton Corp in recent years for the comparison of cotton and cotton.
Before I enter the official report, I would like to invite you to pay attention to a word with me, which should be said to be a popular word in globalization at the moment.
English is sustainability, and Chinese is "sustainability".
I want to share with you some cartoons, some cartoons about ecological environment protection or sustainability.
Let me explain to you that the picture on the left is a father with his 5 year old son doing something in his garden. It is to pour the home cleaning machine out of the house on the lawn directly. This behavior is seen by a neighbor lady passing by. The woman was very surprised and asked him, "I can't believe you put the overdue cleaner directly on the floor."
When you drop the washing machine on the floor, the chemicals contained in the washer slowly go underground. It takes about ten years for this chemical to pollute our water supply.
His father's reply was that he kept on turning to his 5 year old son, saying that when you reach the age of 15, you must remember that you can't drink any more water here.
Second, this is a barbaric tribe. What kind of crime did the elder brother commit, and the way he chose to execute it was burning. When the executioner on the left held the torch for the ignition, the bound man said a word. Wait a minute. Are you sure you want to light the fire? Do you not care about the carbon footprint? Carbon footprint is a good word.
The third picture shows two sharks playing in the sea, seeing someone on the shore fishing, and shark holding a book in their hands. It is a report on sea level rise. The shark A was very happy to tell shark B when he was reading. Good news, according to the current global warming rate, the speed of water rise, we need to swim directly to eat him in less than five years.
The fourth is not a comic book. This is a fact. This is a problem. Just now, director Tung also talked about this issue: population and resources, population and environment, population and the earth.
If I remember correctly, some time ago, the United Nations issued such a figure, that is, by the end of October 2011, by the end of October 2011, the global population will exceed 7 billion, and it is expected to exceed 9 billion 400 million in 2050. We hope that this figure will not increase year by year, but an indisputable fact is that the balance of mankind, population and environment, and resources is constantly tilting, and we expect that the angle of tilt will grow larger and larger until one day, mankind can no longer afford it.
So I think it's my duty for everyone on our planet to think about what we should do.
Including the colleagues in textile circles here.
Let's consider carefully the cartoons that have just been shown.
ecology
What are the points of the environment? Chemicals, energy and water sources.
For our colleagues in the textile industry, these are some of the most important points we need to solve in our normal work.
In recent years, we have a new term called the environmental footprint of cotton.
What we do is to define a chemical, energy and water consumption in cotton processing.
In 2009, our company invited the global research company to conduct research on the hydrochemicals of many cotton textile and dyeing enterprises all over the world.
First of all, from the several stages of cotton textile processing, it is simply divided into spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, clothing. Undoubtedly, the printing and dyeing stage is the highest.
For water consumption, wet processing accounted for 85%, and most of the water was used in wet processing.
What is the water consumption in every part of the wet treatment? The data on our side show that the biggest one is that dyeing reaches 23%, and the rest of the other parts should not be ignored.
Look at the distribution of chemicals consumption, wet processing, wet processing accounted for 70%, we notice that the yarn here has given 22% such data, some friends may ask why yarn has such a proportion. He said that when we count the yarn size, we should not forget to desizing or wet treatment.
What is the distribution of chemicals in dyeing wastewater? The most abundant content is inorganic salts. Why? Because the amount of salt used in cotton dyeing is very large and very common.
The last one is about energy consumption. What is the situation of energy consumption? The idea of relatively simple energy consumption is which part of the printing and dyeing process requires high temperature and which energy consumption is high.
Some people ask why you are engaged in such a job. The main purpose of our research is to get a clearer picture of what areas of the cotton textile printing and dyeing process are the most environmental footprint, so as to provide more energy saving and environmental protection solutions.
To put in a word here, I met some new friends yesterday and today. People saw my business card saying that we sell cotton. Our company is indeed not a company selling cotton.
We are actually a research and extension company funded by American cotton growers and importers. We work for two pieces. First, we have collected and consulted all over the world, including cotton, including the market, including popular colors.
The second one is that we will develop new technologies, including printing and dyeing, energy saving and environmental protection, including functional finishing, for cotton products, from yarn to fabric to printing and dyeing to clothing.
Our ultimate goal is to increase the share of cotton in global textiles through our R & D and promotion.
Since the beginning of 80s of last century, we have embarked on the research and development of energy saving and emission reduction technologies. At present, we have many reports on how to save energy and water consumption and how to shorten the technological process.
Let's talk about several projects we have focused on in recent years, first of all, energy saving and environmental protection.
We have some work in this area.
The first thing I want to talk about is the rapid intermittent bleaching process. The intermittent bleaching process is mainly used for target products.
The above picture is the process of its traditional process. It usually passes through a multistage washing process. After washing, it can be dyed. This is a conventional process.
Our fast intermittent bleaching process is based on the fact that we have used a good combination of pre-treatment auxiliaries provided by a better chemical company.
The first advantage is that the washing of 3 - 4 cylinders is omitted. Second of the traditional knitted fabrics bleach for 1.5 to 2 hours, but our technology is 60 to 70 minutes.
Therefore, saving energy, saving water and improving production efficiency are great contributions.
The following is the traditional three step method for batch dyeing. Similarly, we have developed a highly efficient continuous two step bleaching method with chemical companies.
After this process is optimized, water washing is very few, and water consumption can be reduced, and production efficiency can also be improved.
The first two aspects are about pre-processing.
The second is mainly related to equipment, called foam.
machining
。
I think everyone here may be familiar with foam equipment, because according to our understanding, many domestic enterprises already have foam equipment to do all kinds of printing and dyeing processes.
Our company has also done a lot of work on foam treatment. Now I would like to briefly introduce the principle of foam processing, because foam processing generally contrasts with traditional dyeing, and how traditional chemicals are used to lead chemicals onto fabrics, which are rolled by rolling.
What is the principle of a foam device? It is a combination of chemical solution and air, which is very special and very ingenious, and then applies the foam to the fabric.
Where is the biggest advantage? It can greatly reduce the moisture content on the fabric, so the decrease of moisture content on the fabric can directly lead to the reduction of energy consumption during the drying process and increase the production efficiency.
Therefore, we can reduce water consumption, reduce energy consumption and reduce the utilization rate of oxidized materials.
Compared with the traditional dip dyeing, the foam equipment is relatively large in character. It can achieve the unilateral processing. If there are multiple foam heads, it can be processed at the same time, so we make use of this principle.
This is what we have done recently to make use of foam equipment to carry out the effect of one way moisture conduction. If we have worked with our company, we know that our technology window in the promotion function of cotton products in recent years.
This is a frothing double-sided cloth. Under the magnifying glass, the blue yarn is actually the bottom yarn. It is the waterproof yarn that we use to foam, but I add the blue coloring technology in the chemical solution.
The red area is the veil, and we add the hydrophilic oil.
After finishing the bubble, we want to talk about ozone treatment. I think ozone is a familiar term, because ozone is widely used in industry. Generally speaking, it is mainly about disinfection or water purification. As we all know, ozone can also be applied in the field of textile and clothing. For example, the washing of jeans, ozone can replace chemicals, and wash the old jeans better.
In terms of working principle, ozone itself is a strong oxidant. Ozone itself is not stable. Its stable state is oxygen. It is safe, clean and environmentally friendly. However, the process of oxidation from ozone to oxygen has been oxidized.
We use ozone in this type of garment washing, which has great ecological advantages. The first product is clean and environment-friendly oxygen. In the second processing, ozone can be used to replace some or all of the chemicals, such as Potassium Permanganate, and more importantly, the traditional washing is washed in the washing machine, so there is a lot of water. Ozone is used as bleaching agent to achieve bleaching on completely dry clothes.
Apart from the advantages of ecology, we can see that some factories, such as some factories in Guangdong, are using this equipment to solve the problem.
And ozone can be used for bleaching and washing.
The next concept I want to talk about is process control, which refers to the automation and control of the process. I think the boss here, especially the dyeing mill, is very touched because we often mention "success rate of dyeing once" in dyeing. How to improve the dyeing success rate of enterprises is a constant pursuit of enterprises.
There are many factors to achieve. We think that automation and control of process flow is a key link.
Here I would like to introduce our company's 09 years of dyeing bath monitoring system, the principle of this product is very simple, that is, each dye has a spectral curve.
Like this system, the dye uptake of each dye can be described very accurately in the form of graphics. At the same time, the dye uptake rate can be analyzed as a function of temperature and time. Through such monitoring, it can be clearly obtained when the dyeing process will be completed, the technological process and so on.
Through this operation, it is very helpful in two aspects, that is, tell you how to choose dyes and chemicals, and how to optimize dyeing process.
So we summed up the advantages.
In a word, your ultimate goal is to increase the success rate of dyeing, which means the reduction of production cost.
The last aspect is the technology of cationic treatment.
First of all, I want to talk about the basic principle of cationic cotton fabric. Cotton fabric contains cellulose hydroxyl, so it is a state of negative charge. There is a strong charge handling between negative ions. Why should salt be added to promote dyeing, so the cation can change the surface properties, that is, the surface hydroxyl anion can be changed into other cationic positive ions, the surface cations can be quickly combined with cations, improve dye uptake rate, and even achieve no salt.
dyeing
。
In addition to this advantage.
There will also be various changes in the products treated with cationic cations. This is the fact that our company has always mentioned cationic dyes in the display of various fabric changes.
Cationic treated fibers can be dyed and ordinary fibers can not be dyed, so we can use the dyeing method to dye the effect.
The way I dye it one by one, through the control of this dyeing condition, makes the yarn treated with only cationic dyes be colored, the ordinary yarn is not colored or has a very shallow color.
Similarly, you can see that knitted fabric can be used to create colored stripes Oxford cloth.
From the perspective of style, after cationic treatment, the effect of dyed fabric can be achieved by piece dyeing.
It can save the use of salt and alkali.
The color fastness is better and the dye uptake rate is higher.
Because our company has done some work in these technologies, so I have more data and more detailed reports in my hand. If you are interested, you can talk with me.
If you have time, you can arrange factory visits.
