Valentino Build Online Museum

Valentino and business partner Giancarlo Giammetti will set up an online museum called Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum. The museum will start running today, and the museum will provide relevant video clips on the website.

The online museum will be officially launched in December 5th. Users can experience the world of Valentino in person. Valentino said: "I regard this online museum as my heritage. I am glad that many students, young designers can see what I have done, and this museum has made everything simple."

The online museum, founded by Giammetti, is jointly designed by Novacom Associe-Paris and Kinmonth-Monfreda Design Project in London. It will focus on Valentino's 50 year design works.

This online museum will use three-dimensional technology to give users the feeling of being on the scene.

Giammetti said: "these key costumes are photographed through 360 degree effects. Users click on each line and seal clearly, and click on it to understand the history of the costume. Who wears this dress and what occasion goes through it?"

The online museum will display more than 300 costumes, including the dress worn by Julia Roberts at the 2001 Oscar prize giving ceremony in 1992, the evening dress worn by 1961 Elizabeth Taylor in the premiere of "Spartacus", the skirt worn by 1968 Jacqueline Kennedy wedding, 1991 Sophia Loren and Oscar's evening dress.

Each garment will be marked with clothing related information, such as interesting things, photos, sketches, advertisements, magazine layout, red carpet photos, etc.

Valentino and Giammetti will attend the launching ceremony of the museum in New York in December 5th, and the banquet will be held at IAC headquarters in December 7th.
