In March this year, when cotton prices were raised to 34 thousand yuan / ton, foreign cotton poured into the domestic market. In order to prevent cotton prices from going up sharply, many textile enterprises in Quanzhou were buying stocks at high prices.

And then cotton prices plummeted, 7 and August fell below 19 thousand yuan / ton, most enterprises did not dare to follow up, but also unable to follow up buying.

Recently, companies dare not take orders, because the price of orders at present can not digest the high price of cotton bought in the early stage.

The director of the chamber of Commerce said, "how to digest the high cotton prices purchased by 3 yuan and 30 thousand yuan per ton in April has become the key to the order of textile enterprises at present and for some time to come, and the high cotton price of 30 thousand yuan / ton, plus the high labor cost, water and electricity charges, machine materials and exchange rate rise. At present, the price of cotton yarn of 22 thousand to 27 thousand yuan / ton can only be more and more deficient if cotton enterprises take orders."

Facing the rise and fall of cotton prices, "hard push" or shutdown? This has made many textile enterprises entangled.

Faced with the predicament, some small and medium-sized textile enterprises in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces have been selling machines, putting long holidays and running on the road, while most textile enterprises in Quanzhou have chosen to "hard up" and dare not stop work easily.

"Because it is very difficult to recruit workers in a short time because of a shutdown, and once a stoppage is made, the creditors and suppliers will soon be there."

The situation of cotton spinning industry is also turning to textile machinery enterprises.

Quanzhou textile machinery enterprises reflect that since July this year, textile machinery and supporting enterprises began to appear a small amount of non picking up phenomenon, and there is a worsening trend.

In September, it should be the peak season for orders for textile machinery enterprises in Quanzhou next year, but in fact, only a small number of enterprises were received in that month.

In this regard, the Fujian textile and garment export base chamber of Commerce said that at present, the international economic situation is complex and severe, and the economic recovery is waiting for some time. The domestic economy is still adjusting, and monetary policy will continue to shrink.

Textile enterprises should have long-term preparations, continue to increase product readjustment efforts, preserve their strength, strive for pformation and upgrading, and wait for the greater development of the textile industry after a favorable turn.
