Egypt Ministry Of Industry And Trade Approved The Adoption Of 5 New Standards For Textile And Clothing
Recently, the Egyptian Ministry of industry and Trade approved the adoption of 5 new textile standards aimed at enhancing product quality and ensuring consumer health and safety.
The above 5 technical standards are formulated by the General Administration of quality standards of Egypt, mainly for the use of harmful substances in textile technology.

And locally produced.
Dyed yarn
Printing and dyeing cotton cloth,
Ready-made clothes
The standard pition period will be until December of this year.
The new standards include:
1. The lead content of children's clothing should not exceed 300ppm;
Two, prohibit the use of 23 azo dyes and 9 other carcinogenic dyes.
Three, infant clothing formaldehyde content should not be higher than 20ppm;
Four, adult direct contact with skin clothing formaldehyde content is not more than 75ppm;
Five. The formaldehyde content of clothing with direct contact with skin should not exceed 300ppm.
