Founded in 1952, it is a provincial key university which is mainly supported by industry, science, culture, law, management, economics, education and other disciplines.

The school obtained excellent grades in the evaluation of the undergraduate teaching level in 2004, and introduced the evaluation experience at the National Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation Conference two times.

In January 2009, it became the authorized construction unit of doctoral degree.
