In eighteenth Century, Orlean, the ancient family of France, began to make the first gold and silver ornaments and jewellery inlaid, and was gradually respected by the upper class society and became the luxury of the French upper class and the nobility.

In 1837, Louise Derier (1807-1874), founder of DERIER, started a special store of gold and silver and jewelry in Grands Boulevards, Paris.

Because of the unique traditional family craft and the spirit of Louise Derier's serious work, the products of the Duchess family were highly praised by the upper class.

In 1869, DERIER participated in the World Trade Fair for the first time. Louise Derier won the medal for its first exhibition because of its exquisite gold and silver ornaments. Since then, the reputation of DERIER has spread in France.
