Female Leaders: How To Get Tickets For The Power Circle?

    2011/4/20 13:56:00 84

    Female Leadership Power Circle Forbes

    Thousands of American women in

    Power circle

    Wandering outside.

They have already dressed themselves, beat the beat with the music outside the circle, hoping to be invited to this show of their leadership skills one day.

It's time to invite every one of us to this big dance floor.

For this reason, the most crucial step is that the three generations of pioneers, insiders and innovators should discard differences and stop mutual exclusion and mutual help.

I am very excited to see Ms. Gu Xiulian, chairman of the all China Women's Federation.

    I've been "for years."

    Forbes Woman

The enthusiastic reader of the column is the first time to write columns for him.

So before I openly debate why women should put aside their differences, help each other and why they struggle alone for women is a sure failure strategy, I think I should introduce myself first.

You may call me an "experienced" career woman with nearly 40 years of work experience.

I have been tested in some of the most difficult leadership laboratories for women, including athletes dressing rooms, the global automotive industry, political positions and single mothers. That is more challenging and more disciplining than any job.

    What do I know?

    Very much.

The first point is that today the United States is a country full of women's success, but in the field of leadership, we are still unsatisfactory.

You may be annoyed at this statement.

    But evidence is everywhere.

A comprehensive report commissioned by the White House Project.

    Female leadership

Benchmarking Women "s Leadership" said that in every major work department in the United States, women leaders account for only 18% of all leaders.

Of course, the widely held view is that women are already leading.

That's because almost every professional field is crowded with three generations of educated, ambitious and well versed women.

I divide these high achievers into three categories: Pioneer Pioneers (our generation over 55 years old), "influential insiders" (35 to 55 years old), and "innovators of their own way" (College Students under 35 years old).

But the problem is that although we do not lack MBA, law degrees, medical degrees, doctorate degrees, Olympic medals, even purple hearts, few people are involved in areas where women have not yet entered.

The biggest reason for this is that we don't realize that for women, successful workplace strategies need the help of the same sex.

The only way for women to break through all the "glass ceilings" is to unite and act together.

For men, they have long known to depend on each other for centuries.

That's why old people's social networks have only one theme: help each other and support each other.

I interviewed many women in the workplace who made decisions at the top of the company. Their biggest regret was that they did not establish a solid female alliance in their careers.

We should realize as soon as possible that we are not part of those working men.

The sooner you realize this, the sooner you will find that collective action is better than personal struggle, so that we can win the top leadership positions faster.

It is no stranger to this road. That is how we came to those non-traditional industries like women in law, medicine, commerce, sports, academia, and military conquests.

Thousands of American women hovered outside the circle of power.
