    New Rules For Recycling Textile Fibers Into Waste

    2011/3/28 17:11:00 59

    Textile Fiber Recycling Environmental Protection

    Increasingly strengthened consumers environmental awareness The development of markets and products is being influenced by unstoppable trends. Therefore, the "green" requirement of textile fibers is getting stronger and stronger. Some consumers even need to first see whether they have environmental labels and whether they conform to international environmental standards before buying textiles. Therefore, the economic growth of textile fibers has to be judged from the perspective of environmental protection.

    Today, the use of Recycled materials It is no longer a novelty to continue to use original resources as raw materials for producing textiles. This will not only save resources but also save energy, reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other emissions and reduce waste. This may be higher than the traditional production cost. This is because consumers can not recycle all the goods they discarded, and the recyclable materials are also very limited. For example, only 1/4 of plastic bottles are recycled in the United States.

    Despite the fact that people are advocating cleaner and healthier materials, the trend of massive consumption of natural resources has not slowed down. Sustainability and recycling are still a long way to go. In the United States, there is a company called Gollings Polo, which specializes in the production of fine textiles using recycled fiber materials and yarns. Because more people realize that the space for landfill is becoming more and more limited. Recycling in the post industrial era has been implemented for many years, but the recovery of textile fibers has only begun in recent years. In recent years, various regions in the United States and other countries in the world are making community recovery plans. Not only that, they have also made recycling partitions, and man-made fiber products, PET packaging and waste carpets have become the main recycling materials resources. Of course, all kinds of textile fibers are recycled in different categories. Ventura, a textile fiber recycling company in the United States, believes that all textile fibers should be recycled and should be reused separately.

    Recovery of polyester fiber

    French Unifi company began to recycle polyester fibers as early as 2000. In 2006, it began to use recycled products to develop new fiber products. And these new products come from recycled PET bottles. Repreve, another company, used waste products to develop sportswear, performing costumes, professional wear and upholstery textiles. Moreover, these reused products can be widely used in automotive interior textiles. It is said that polyester textile fiber recycling has become the most profitable industry abroad. Of course, the best way to make money is to make the textile fiber play its due role again.

    Development Ecotype reused fiber All countries in the world are Eight Immortals crossing the sea. They are very clear. The value of recycled polyester fiber (RPET) produced by textiles can be higher than that of non recycled materials. Japanese Imperial company has already developed "ecological cycle textile fiber" and "ecological PET" fiber, and German Corhun Calhoun has produced high-quality carpet by recycling. Many companies in the United States use the recovery system to develop hospitals, clinics, schools, Sporting Club Hotel and other special products. The system reclaims 10 thousand tons of polyester fiber per year, saving 84% of energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 77% compared to traditional polyester production. Another company, batago, is both a supplier of raw materials and a recycler. Since its inception in 2005, the company has recovered 27 tons of waste textiles. By the autumn of 2011, they plan to make use of 100% of recycling and develop new products. The United States Qingdao textile fiber recycling company has made great efforts to recycle waste fibers by constantly showing people the opportunity to recycle recycled products. As of last year, they have recovered 2.8 million tons of waste polyester fiber and 5 billion plastic bottles. {page_break}

    Recovery of nylon fiber

    In the United States alone, billions of kilograms of old carpets are discarded every year, and a lot of land is needed for landfill. In 2009, the US evergreen recycling company recovered 311 million pounds of old carpet, of which 246 million pounds could be used, and its recovery rate exceeded 2008. They plan to increase the recovery rate by 20%~25% in 2012, most of which are nylon fibers. At present, the company has established recycling outlets throughout the country, and has also established a classification system, which can directly process waste carpets, and then directly use recycled polyester fibers. In addition, the company also used new and old polyester to develop new carpet. Evergreen company consumes 80 million ~1 billion pounds of PC carpet products annually, including automobile backrest, adhesives and other similar materials. They have obtained the American "cradle silver certificate". The practice is that all recovered fiber materials are concentrated in Dalton, then classified and sent to different factories for reprocessing. The company believes that this can reduce energy consumption and improve reuse. Almost all recycled materials can be reused.

    The 6.6 type nylon is hard to recycle and produce high quality fiber yarn, and it is difficult to process. It is more difficult and even difficult to decolorization to achieve commercial depolymerization. However, they regard themselves as the platform of "earth intelligence", try their best to develop chemical decomposition solutions, and combine them with raw materials for comprehensive utilization. Of course, there are many such cases, and they have achieved the goal of mutual benefit and win-win through their cooperation with other enterprises in recycling waste fibers. They also founded the world's only "universal fiber" company.

    Of course, the development of waste nylon fiber regenerated products is more difficult than developing new raw materials and new products. The reason is that the waste and utilization can cause new pollution and increase waste. Moreover, the waste fiber also involves the standard problem, all aspects of standards must be consistent with the raw material fiber standards, such as dyeing standard, contamination standard, anticorrosion standard, health index and so on. The recovery rate of the 6.6 type nylon fiber and 6 type fiber or other recycled fiber in the United States increased from 18% in 2009 to 33% in 2010, of which the recovery rate of the backing was 39%, while the recycling rate of the waste fiber was 46%.

      Recovery of cotton fiber

    The recovery of cotton fibers in the west is mainly used in nonwoven and respinning products. The United States has done an excellent job in this respect, and almost every state has developed the technology of PI fiber waste utilization. Moreover, regenerated cotton fibers are not inferior to new cotton fibers, including high quality baby diapers, hygiene products, cleaning products, cosmetics, personal care products, industrial supplies, paper products and so on.

    The recovery of waste cotton fiber needs to avoid damaging fiber length. Traditional machining methods often destroy the proper properties of fibers. If so, recycled fiber can only be applied to develop low-grade products. For this reason, some companies in the United States have developed advanced fiber recovery and regeneration technology, which can effectively protect the properties of the raw fiber, and can also be mixed with any other fibers, and its texture and properties are not different from those of raw materials. In this way, they can produce high quality recycled products. Moreover, this kind of regeneration technology is often patented, transferable or commercially produced.
