Turkmenistan Adjusted its 2010. Raw cotton yield From 1 million tons to 1 million 300 thousand tons, a government official told Reuters on Monday.
The official said that good weather conditions were a major factor contributing to the high yield of cotton.

In 2008, Turkmenistan's cotton output reached 1 million tons, compared with 950 thousand tons in 2007.
The National Cotton Council said that Turkmenistan exported 1 million 100 thousand bales of cotton in the 2009 cotton season, making the country the sixth largest exporter of cotton in the world.
