The down industry in Xintang has already taken shape in the Qing Dynasty.

In the autumn of 1956, in the village of Tangli Village (a natural village before the village scale adjustment), a feather processing plant was set up in the eastern Zhejiang Zixia advanced agricultural production association, and the three Township Joint feather factory was set up, and the feathers were exported to the provincial livestock products company.

After the reform and opening up, Xintang's down industry has been developing rapidly. In July 1982, Xintang founded the first modern feather and down enterprise in Xiaoshan, Xiaoshan County down factory.

In July 1990, Zhejiang Xiaoshan down feather factory introduced Australian financial Limited by Share Ltd fund of 600 thousand US dollars, and founded Xintang's first Sino foreign joint venture, Zhejiang North swan feather products Co., Ltd.

Since then, Xintang's down enterprises have sprung up like mushrooms.

In November 1999, approved by the Zhejiang provincial planning and Economic Committee, the Xiaoshan down and product processing park was established, and was renamed the "Xiaoshan China feather Industrial Park" in second years.

In twenty-first Century, Xintang's feather and down occupied half of the world's down.

More than 1/3 of China's exports of feather and down products are made in Xiaoshan, and Xintang is also an important production area of Xiaoshan's down products. The down and products account for more than 90% of the total area, and the total export volume is over 20% of the whole country.

By the end of 2009, there were more than 200 eiderdown enterprises in Xintang, and the output value of the down industry accounted for more than 60% of the total street industry.

The Yoobao society, sponsored by China down industry association, has been held annually since 1995. It is one of the largest and most professional exhibitions in the world's down industry, enjoying a pivotal position in the industry.

This year, Xintang street, as one of the contractors of Yoobao, will support the two grand events to join hands again. It will jointly build a stage for displaying the brand and product image of domestic and foreign down products manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. At the same time, Yoobao will play a positive role in improving the pformation and development ability of Xintang down industry, strengthening the cluster effect of Xintang down enterprises, and enhancing the popularity and reputation of Xintang's down brands.
