    In this regard, the NPC stated in the draft note that the luxury cars and ordinary cars pay taxes on the same tax basis, which fails to fully reflect the property tax nature of the vehicle and ship tax and the proper regulatory functions.

    As a property tax, the tax assessment should be the evaluation value of the vehicle and vessel theoretically.

    In some countries, the engine exhaust volume that has a positive correlation between vehicle selection and vehicle value is used as a tax basis.

    And 1.6 liters to 2 liters increased by 300 yuan, 2.0-2.5 increase of 600-960 yuan will not cause too much impact on consumer demand for purchase.


    A car company responsible person even thought that the large displacement vehicle consumption tax increased by 40%, and the consumers who bought large displacement cars increased tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of yuan, but the consumption demand of large displacement cars was not inhibited. Instead, the sales volume of large displacement SUV rose sharply.
