The enthusiasm of the people of Weihai made Wang Guilin find his home for a long time.
After returning to South Korea, Wang Guilin at his own expense in three South Korean media played "go to China, to Weihai, live in Liyuan" advertising.
For a time, many Korean overseas Chinese and Korean friends learned about Li Yuan and came to check in.
At that time, with the opening of Weihai to Inchon routes, more and more Korean overseas Chinese who took the golden bridge to visit their relatives discovered business opportunities. When they came, they brought Korean clothes to Weihai for sale, and when they went back, they sold some Weihai local products in Korea.

However, where to do business has become a problem.
"Can you change the Liyuan hotel to a place specializing in Korean clothing and other businesses?" many overseas Chinese and businessmen from South Korea put forward this proposal.
At this point, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government put forward a comprehensive implementation of the strategy of "borrowing Han Xingwei" to create a favorable environment for trade exchanges between China and South Korea.

Liu Fengquan changed the rooms on the third floor of the Liyuan hotel to the shops to rent out, and at the same time, the overseas Chinese and businessmen from Korea came to the stadium.
Finally, Liu Fengquan simply moved all the administrative offices of the hotel to another place to rent, and changed the first floor to the seven floor of the Liyuan hotel.
At its height, there were nearly 200 stalls in the hotel.

Liu Fengquan recalls that one day after class, a Korean overseas Chinese was very happy to invite him to dinner.
Liu Fengquan casually asked him about the turnover of the day, and the other party replied with great pride: "300 thousand!" and the man ran a 15 square meter booth at that time.
Liu Fengquan said that almost every day, the beds of overseas Chinese and businessmen in Korea were full of money.
The fame of Li Yuan spread quickly.
People from Dalian, Qingdao, Yantai, Beijing, Harbin and other places poured into Weihai and flooded into Li Yuan. Some people were "Taobao" and some were "digging gold".
Later, the hotel even had to take measures to restrict passenger traffic, because "worried that the building was collapsed."
Since 1992, Liyuan hotel has become the first Korean distributing center in Weihai and even in China.
This year is also known as the first year of the Korean wave in Weihai.

Seeing a lot of Korean goods stores in the mall and the streets, and the fashionable Korean clothes and Korean accessories, the friend was very excited, not only buying himself lots of clothes and accessories, but also buying many Korean gifts for his relatives and friends.
"Later, I will bring my relatives and friends to Weihai to buy Korean goods."

To see the prosperity of Korean merchandise stores in Weihai, Liu Fengquan's heart has been proud of this situation.
However, in his view, the greater significance of Korean clothing and other commodities flowing into Weihai is that it not only stimulated food and tourism, cultural and entertainment, pportation and logistics, information exchange and early investment promotion, but also expanded Weihai's popularity.
Liu Fengquan recalled that when Korean clothing just entered the Weihai market, the heads of some garment factories and clothing manufacturers in Weihai complained about the market being grabbed.
But the entry of Korean clothing brings new elements. Its leading styles, fabrics and crafts have brought inspiration to many Weihai clothing enterprises.
Weihai garment industry started to go out of the country and have a broader view.
At the same time, some smart Korean overseas Chinese and businessmen found Weihai's advantages in labor resources, natural resources, land and factory buildings, and began moving factories to Weihai.
The influx of a large number of Korean garment enterprises has injected new impetus to the development of Weihai's manufacturing industry.
With the popularity of Korean clothing in Weihai, "traveling to Weihai, buying Korean clothing" has become another brand of Weihai tourism. Korean clothing has become a "city card" of Weihai.
With the arrival of more Korean businessmen, Korean restaurants and entertainment venues are also booming.
Facing the challenge, Korean goods brand needs polishing.
After 1998, the main stores of Korean goods such as Weisheng mansion, Harbour Building and so on were open for business, and Korean clothing stores were large and small all over Weihai.
In Weihai's commercial main roads or streets and lanes, signboards with Chinese and Korean characters are everywhere. Shops selling Korean goods are everywhere.
Because of this, many Koreans come to Weihai and feel a sense of home.
In the morning of August 25th this year, days of rain did not block tourists from all over the world.
In the Korean commercial city of Harbour Building, tourists from all over the country are shuttling between Korean stores and picking their favorite merchandise.
At 10 a.m. that day, just after stepping into the gate of the first floor of Harbour Building, Zhang Yingfu, a tourist in Shanghai, was attracted by the dazzling Korean style goods.

Liu Fengquan said that there are also some merchants selling Korean brands and selling some imitations that are not of high quality, which, to a certain extent, have damaged the reputation of Weihai's Korean goods market.
It is understood that at present, the Korean goods market in Weihai is no longer a "exclusive sale". Many domestic cities, especially coastal cities, also have Korean goods distribution centers.
Under such circumstances, Weihai's "Korean goods" brand needs to be repositioned. Only by vigorously standardizing the market order, constantly improving the quality of commodities, and enriching and improving the commodity structure, can Weihai's "Korean wave" birthplace be able to write a new legend.
