India'S Spinning Exports Grew Sharply In June 2010

The volume of exports increased significantly, though the market entered the off-season.
The main reason is that the price is good, so the export volume increased sharply in that month.
The average price is high because of increased input costs and better demand.

A total of 9 billion 340 million rupees, an increase of 59% over the previous year, is slightly higher than the record of March 2010.
Over the same period, the rupee appreciated by 1%. According to the US dollar, the export value increased by 60% and the volume increased by 15%.
In June 2010, the export of spinning yarn was about 53 million kilograms, valued at 201 million dollars, and exported 46 million kilograms last year, worth 125 million US dollars.
The average unit price is 3.79 US dollars / kg, compared with 2.71 US dollars / kg in the same period last year, indicating an increase of 40%.
It was 31 cents higher than last month.
Therefore, in the first 3 months of 2010-11, exports totaled 145 million kg, worth 520 million US dollars, or 17 billion 640 million rupees.

Spinning exports to 84 countries, of which Asian destinations accounted for 46% of India's total exports, and Western Europe accounted for 16%.
The proportion of South America is slightly more than 15%.
The Middle East ranked fourth, accounting for 14%.
Compared with the same month last year, exports to Asian countries increased by 68% in June, double exports to Western Europe, and exports to the Middle East and South America increased by 72% and 63% respectively.
The number and volume of exports to North America, Africa and Oceania fell sharply this month.
Exports to CIS countries increased by 12% to $3 million 140 thousand, and exports to Eastern Europe increased by 43%, to nearly $4 million.
